With Suicide Squad less than a week away from release, the cast and director of the upcoming supervillain team-up flick took to Twitter to answer some questions that us fans had. If you want to check out the full Q&A, head to the official Suicide Squad Twitter page.
Director David Ayer was asked during the Q&A if there were any characters that he originally wanted to add to the Suicide Squad roster, but eventually got cut during development. He responded with this:
“One of the characters I was thinking about for the Squad line-up was actually King Shark. But we realized it would take a lot of work, a lot of CG work. I wasn’t quite comfortable with having a full-CG character. We actually ended up going with Killer Croc, who turned out to be the right guy for the job.”
While it’s disappointing that King Shark won’t be apart of the Squad this time around, that doesn’t mean we won’t see him if/when a sequel gets greenlit by the studio. In fact, there’s a rumor that’s been going on for quite awhile now that actor Raymond Olubowale is set to cameo as the humanoid shark in the film, so when you see Suicide Squad next week, be on the lookout, it shouldn’t be hard to spot a massive, walking shark.
