HBO has finally confirmed that their arguably most successful franchise of all time, Game of Thrones, will return for its eighth and final season… in 2019. The last season will consist of 6 episodes, and there is no official word yet on the length of each installment, but I’m confident show-runner’s David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will use their time wisely to tie up the series.
There is no word yet on when in 2019 season 8 will air, and there is a large difference to fans between a spring or fall premiere.
Entertainment Weekly recently got a statement from former star Jason Momoa on what fans can expect: “It’s going to be the greatest thing that’s ever aired on TV. It’s going to be unbelievable. It’s going to f— up a lot of people.”
Directors: David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, David Nutter, and Miguel Sapochnik.
