Fox recently announced release dates for their upcoming, ‘Deadpool 2’, ‘New Mutants’ and ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’. All three of these films have either begun production or are a short time away from starting, that has led Fox to announced dates for their next six Marvel films.
The titles are currently unknown but here are the dates, they go through to the year 2021:
It’s easy to speculate on what these projects may be. ‘Deadpool 3’ is a forgone conclusion at this point and at least one is likely another ‘X-Men’ franchise film, but where does that leave the rest?
Rumors of another ‘Fantastic Four’ project being in development may rule out another one of these dates. Maybe a sequel to ‘New Mutants’, as that is likely to set up a franchise. Talk of a ‘X-Force’ film has been making its way through the internet for some time, making it another candidate.
Another controversial pick may be ‘Gambit’. The film that is set to star Channing Tatum has been in development hell for some time, even losing a director. ‘Gambit’ is up in the air at this point but with that many dates being filled don’t rule it out.
Finally, I would be remiss if I didn’t bring up a ‘X-23’ solo movie. Her incredible role in ‘Logan’ should give her an opportunity to go solo but only time will tell if it happens.
