Orange is the New Black's Diane Guerrero has just joined the Doom Patrol!
The actress has landed the role of Crazy Jane in DC Universe's live-action series Doom Patrol from Greg Berlanti. The role is said to be one of the lead roles.
Doom Patrol is a group of misfit heroes which first appeared in the pages of My Greatest Adventure in 1963. Doom Patrol has had many iterations since, with the newest series coming from former My Chemical Romance frontman, Gerard Way in 2016.
Crazy Jane is a created which was created by Grant Morrison and Richard Case and first appeared in Doom Patrol Volume 2 issue 19 (1989). Jane suffers from multiple personality disorder and each of her 64 different personalities each have a their own abilities.
The live-action series is being written by Jeremy Carver. The team will include Robotman, Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Guerrero) and Negative Man.
Led by the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder they’re called into action by the ultimate hero for the digital age, Cyborg. Banding together these rejects find themselves on a mission that will take them to the weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC universe.
The series will consist of 13 episodes and will stream on the new DC Universe streaming service in 2019.
